Attorney CK Hoffler of our Law and Legal segment joined Juandolyn for a special discussion on the Texas Abortion Ban. Hoffler shares this ban unconstitutional, yet the Supreme Court failed to act to stop this ban for going into place. She goes on to say other states will follow Texas in banning women's rights to abortions.
Hoffler explains the law is restrictive and oppressive and clearly denies women's right to choose for herself. She tells Stokes this diminishes the protections of Roe v. Wade.
Hoffler says this allows for average citizens to sue anyone involved in the process of helping woman seeking an abortion for a $10,000 payout. She shares this will have a devastating effect on women's health.
Hoffler shares this does not consider young girls or women who may be raped or victims of incest. There is no accountability for men involved in getting a woman pregnant.
