Atlanta Congresswoman Nikema Williams (D-GA) accuses Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) of "continuing to elevate the violence" seen during the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. And according to Williams, Greene "has to be held accountable." It all centers around remarks, attributed to Greene, that support the assassination of former and current elected officials, including former President Barak Obama and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
According to Rep.Williams "Marjorie Taylor Greene is a threat, not only to her fellow members of Congress, but she is a threat to this country."
Rep. Williams spoke to Radio.com's Maria Boynton about her call for Greene to resign and the effort to have the 14th District Congresswoman censured.
Williams says that Greene "is threatening members of Congress and making it unsafe for us to do our work."
In a statement on social media, Greene said in partial "Every attack. Every lie. Every smear strengthens my base of support at home and across the country because people know the truth and are fed up with lies."
