As the Falcons offseason continues we continue to get a little more info, a little more insight, and more pieces to the 2024-25 Atlanta Falcons puzzle. Yesterday, Atlanta Falcons Running Back Bijan Robinson gave everyone some pretty good insight on what his piece for the Atlanta Falcons puzzle will look like when he talked about who he’ll be used like this season.

“I’m going to be more of a runner that does everything else like not as much probably, I don’t know what the plan is, but like runner first you know like I did in college and then you know still having that access to go to receiver, still having access to do creative things out the backfield, more so like how they use Christian [McCaffrey] down there in San Francisco like something like that so that’s kind of what like the plan is here.” Robinson said.

Mike Johnson and every Falcons fan probably share the same sentiment when they hear Bijan Robinson say he’s going to have a similar role in the Falcons offense as Christian McCaffrey does in the 49ers offense, and that sentiment is excited.

“Bijan being a Christian McCaffrey would be everything you could’ve dreamed of and more.”

Mike also said he thinks that a Christian McCaffrey-like role is “what everybody envisioned” when the Falcons drafted Robinson with the eighth overall pick last year and that it fits the Falcons second year running back “perfectly”. Mike also mentioned that yesterday when he was at the Falcons’ practice Bijan looked “comfortable” out on the field.

Robinson had about 12 carries a game last year and McCaffrey has been averaging about 17 a game with San Francisco, so it looks like Bijan will be getting more carries a game and be more of runner just like he said, and I don’t think any Falcons’ fans are or should be upset about it.
