By now you’ve probably heard or seen what New Orleans Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu had to say about Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts. If not, he complimented both of them and expressed how great he thinks they both can be. Mathieu also questioned how the Falcons used both Robinson and Pitts last season saying "I didn't think the Falcons really used him as good as they should have last year..” when talking about Robinson, and saying the Falcons had Kyle Pitts running “almost high school routes”.
Does the Honey Badger have a point, or is he giving Pitts and Robinson too much benefit of the doubt? The Morning Shift had a spirited debate over the question earlier today.
With a new regime and a new offensive coordinator in place in Zac Robinson once the season starts it should become a lot more clear if in fact Arthur Smith’s moments of lack of creativity or Bijan Robinson still trying to grasp the offense and Kyle Pitts coming back from injury is the reason why some people, including Tyrann Mathieu, believe Robinson and Pitts were underutilized last season.
