Kyle Pitts reports to Falcons off-season workout program
On Tuesday, the Atlanta Falcons began their off-season workout program as players, including tight end Kyle Pitts, who reportedly is set to sign his franchise tag, arrived for the team’s voluntary workouts. “The reason I think this is a big deal is because I think Kyle Pitts, number one, has been told, ‘we’re going to use you a lot,’” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he and cohost Mike Bell reacted to the Pitts report.
“I think Tommy Rees and I think Kevin Stefanski are all in on him, which is why there was no intention to move on from him regardless of what we may have thought about the inconsistency during the injury,” Dukes continued as he explained why he believes Pitts arriving to the voluntary workouts and signing his franchiser tag is meaningful for the franchise and the tight end.
“The fact that he’s signing his tag this early. Guys, you don’t have to do this until July. Like, you’ve got time,” Dukes continued. “But what this signifies to me Mike is, Kyle Pitts is like look, ‘I know that’s not going to happen, I’ll go ahead and take this money and I’m going to go ahead and show out and show up because it’s important that I get acclimated to this new offense right now,’” Dukes said of Pitts.
“He should have a great season in a Stefanski offense,” Bell said of Pitts as he noted quarterback play, whether it is Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa, has to “get traction,”.Kyle Pitts reportedly signing his franchise tag
