Should Cordarrelle Patterson be the No. 1 RB option for Falcons?

As the Falcons are coming off of a disappointing 32-6 loss to the Eagles in the first game under Arthur Smith as head coach there were very few positive takeaways. But Cordarrelle Patterson might have been one of them.

Dukes & Bell talked about Patterson’s debut with the Falcons and asked should he been the No. 1 running back option for the team?

Bell said Patterson was one of the only players that stood out Sunday for Falcons.

“He’s one of the few guys that popped yesterday at any point for the Falcons, seven carries for 54 yards, 14 yards was his longest run,” Bell said. “But you see the size and speed element which kind of makes him intriguing to a guy like Arthur Smith.”

Dukes wondered if Mike Davis and Cordarrelle Patterson can be a one-two punch.

“Is this thunder and lightning though,” Dukes said. “With Mike Davis running for the tough yards.”
