Falcons’ margin for error too small for Michael Penix growing pains

The Falcons did plenty in Sunday’s loss to the Colts to give themselves a chance. They recorded seven sacks, forced two turnovers, and even took the lead with under two minutes remaining. But in the end, they couldn’t make the plays that mattered most. A major reason: they went 0-for-8 on third down. And while Michael Penix is still growing and developing at the NFL level, the Falcons don’t have the margin for error to wait for that progress to pay off.
