
(670 The Score) The Bears will raise the cost of season tickets by an average of 3.9% for the 2020 season, the team announced Friday in a letter from president Ted Phillips.
The increase in season-ticket costs will range from 1.6% to 5.3%. The non-club seats will see an average ticket price increase of 4.3%, and club seats will see an average ticket price increase of 3.3%. The changes come after the Bears went 8-8 and missed the playoffs.
The Bears also increased the cost of season tickets ahead of the 2019 season.
"Unfortunately, our performance on the field failed to meet everyone's expectations," Phillips said in his letter. "No one was satisfied, and it is now imperative for us to thoroughly analyze what went wrong and make necessary corrections for 2020. Our goal is to bring a world championship back to Chicago."
The Bears averaged 61,916 fans for their eight home games at Soldier Field in 2019. The NFL will unveil its 2020 regular-season schedule in April.
