CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago voters are justified if they're feeling a bit dizzy, considering they have more than a dozen choices for mayor on the Feb. 26 ballot.
The field was already crowded, even before incumbent Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced late last year he won't seek a third term. When he bailed, several prominent and unknown hopefuls jumped in. The ranks swelled to more than 20 before legal challenges whittled the list down to the current 14, as listed by the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners.
The candidate who wins 50 percent plus 1 of the vote becomes Chicago's next mayor. Otherwise, the top two vote-getters will face each other in a runoff election April 2.
Over the past several months, WBBM Newsradio Political Editor Craig Dellimore has interviewed all of the hopefuls on "At Issue." The dynamics of the mayoral contest have changed with the addition or subtraction of candidates, but overall, the interviews help define the remaining contenders and their political agendas. They appear here in the order they are listed on the ballot.
