CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There have been two coyote attacks on the North Side since Wednesday, but the coyote or coyotes continue to roam free.
A limping coyote was spotted a couple of times overnight in the Streeterville neigborhood, which is near where a 32-year-old man said he was bit by a coyote.
Chicago police said the man walked into Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Wednesday evening with a scratch on his buttocks and told authorities he was walking when a coyote came from behind and bit him.
Police said the man was walking in the 700 block of North Fairbanks Court when he was bitten. The man was in good condition and expected to be released from the hospital, police said.
Earlier that day, a 5-year-old boy was attacked by a coyote near the lakefront in Lincoln Park on the North Side.
"At approximately 4 p.m. a 5-year-old male was bitten multiple times by a coyote. The victim was transported to Lurie Children's Hospital in stable condition," said police spokesperson Kellie Bartoli.
Chicago Animal Care and Control have been looking for the coyote or coyotes.
On Tuesday, a coyote was rescued from Lake Michigan after falling into Monroe Harbor.
