CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Chicago Bears announced Thursday the final 25 players of the Chicago Bears Centennial Scrapbook Top 100, completing the list selected by Hall of Fame writers Don Pierson and Dan Pompei.
Throughout the week, the team released a quarter of the list each day. These announcement come ahead of the Bears100 Celebration Weekend, taking place June 7-9 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Besides releasing the Chicago Bears Centennial Scrapbook Top 100 this week, the team has other announcements planned leading up to the Bears100 Celebration Weekend. During the week of June 3 the Centennial Scrapbook All-Time Team will be announced in parts each day starting with the All-Time defensive players, followed by the All-Time specialists and then the All-Time offensive players.
The Bears100 Celebration Weekend takes place June 7-9 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Tickets are still available. The Bears said fans can meet players, relive behind-the-scenes moments, share stories, and look to the future; as well as enjoy free autographs, photo opps, football panels, and interactive activities.
"This once-in-a-lifetime event will be the largest gathering of Bears ever," the team said in a statement. "The 2019 team and coaching staff, along with Bears Hall of Famers and alumni are scheduled to attend."
