WHEATON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A DuPage County museum is honoring black trailblazers this month.
The exhibit at the DuPage County Historical Museum’s auditorium is called “Black Trailblazers.”
Creators say it pays tribute to black leaders in education, sports, arts and Civil Rights who have left a positive legacy on the county. The exhibit will also highlight some of the challenges and barriers those trailblazers encountered and conquered.
Black Trailblazers runs through the entirety of Black History Month at the museum, located at 102 E. Wesley Street.
It’s open on Tuesdays through Fridays, from 10:30 a.m.to 4 p.m. and on weekends, from noon to 4 p.m.
Admission is free, but a $5 donation for adults and $2 donation for children and seniors is suggested.
