Around 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, Elmhurst Police officers pulled up behind a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic in the area of North Avenue and Route 83.
When the officers approached the vehicle, they found 36-year-old D Ante Hence of Joliet passed out in the driver's seat with a loaded gun on the passenger seat and open alcohol and cannabis in the center console.
The DuPage County State's Attorney's office says Hence was denied pretrial release and is charged with several crimes including Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and two counts of Misdemeanor DUI.
His next court date is June 29th.
