(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- State police in Indiana say they've arrested a man who they claim posted statements on social media threatening the life of Elon Musk, the Tesla and Space-X CEO who's become the public face of the Trump Administration's effort to shrink the size of the federal workforce.
A statement from troopers in southern Indiana says authorities in Texas alerted them that an Indiana resident had posted statements threatening Musk on the social media platform X.
Police arresting 28-year-old David Allen June Cherry also searched his home in Clarksville, Indiana. Officials say they found an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun and a ballistic vest.
He's now in custody and has been charged with intimidation.
