
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago man wanted in Kenosha for setting his girlfriend on fire last Sunday morning has been arrested.
Police had been on the lookout for Myron Bowie since the incident last Sunday morning and for Cadillac as well. It was located in Chicago Heights, where he was arrested.
The Kenosha County Sheriff said Bowie was found with the help of community members.
His girlfriend called 911 at 4:45 a.m. last Sunday, saying he threatened to kill her and her children and family and then splashed flammable liquid on her and set her on fire before leaving the home.
She’s being treated for severe burns to the face, chest and arms. The Sheriff’s Office said she’s still in critical condition, but she is expected to survive.
