CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A man was held up in the heart of the Loop Tuesday night.
Chicago police said a 23-year-old man told them several people came up to him near Jackson and State and demanded his belongings. It was at about 9 p.m.
The group was made up of one female and five males, one of whom showed a handgun. The victim handed over his items and the group took off headed northbound. No one was injured.
As of Sunday, there have been 97 robberies in the first district so far this year. That’s down from 120 last year at this point.
