(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Plans for a controversial cannabis farm in Joliet are being reworked.
It's back to the drawing board after a proposed cannabis facility off Manhattan road received negative reviews from Joliet Zoning Board of Appeals and plan Commission.
The Herald News reports the Alessio family, which owns the property, plans to revise its proposal. The needed changes include meeting a city requirement that the building be at least 250 feet away from residential property.
City council members will take a vote on rezoning and a special use permit during their meeting on June 7.
