(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago is wrapping up Pride month, but there are still plenty of ways to celebrate.

WBBM Newsradio’s Rachel Pierson has this weekend’s roundup of events:

—Head to Grant Park for the annual outdoor music festival, Pride in the Park. The two-day event features more than a dozen LGBTQ+ performers and artists. You can also catch performances from drag icons like Shea Couleé.

—After a two-year hiatus, the Chicago Pride Parade returns Sunday afternoon. The event typically brings more than 1 million spectators to Uptown and Lakeview. The parade steps off at noon at Montrose Avenue and Broadway. It then winds its way through the north side of the city, ending in Lincoln Park.

—Another neighborhood favorite is back for the first time since the pandemic. The Logan Square Arts Festival celebrates local art, food, beer and music all weekend long. This year's lineup includes headliners Combo Chimbita, Man Man and Sarah Shook & The Disarmers.

—If you’d rather be part of art, step inside The Lighthouse ArtSpace for “Immersive Monet.” The exhibit surrounds you with the iconic works of Claude Monet. “Immersive Monet and the Impressionists” is a 20,000-square-foot light and sound show that features two-story projections of each artist’s most compelling works.

—Nothing’s sweeter in the summertime than the Long Grove Strawberry Festival. The decades-old tradition includes three days of strawberry-infused foods and drinks, family games and live music.

—For something a little more savory, head to Lake County for the Taste of Highland Park. In its inaugural year, the event couples local chefs with exceptional music at The Lot on Central Avenue.

—Looking for garden inspiration? Look no further than the Oak Park and River Forest Garden Walk. Sunday’s self-guided tour of eight garden locations is sure to spark some ideas for that next project. The Garden Walk is a joint venture of the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory and the Garden Club of Oak Park and River Forest and supports the missions of both organizations.

—And the “Granddaddy” of Illinois festivals returns to the western suburbs. Geneva’s Annual Swedish Days has been celebrated for more than 70 years and features a host of family-friendly activities, live entertainment and a carnival.
