Security guard fatally shot near UIC campus: Report

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are investigating a fatal shooting near the University of Illinois Chicago campus that happened early this morning.

A 44-year-old man was killed in the shooting that happened near 14th and Morgan, according to police.

Just after 4 a.m., officers found the man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, investigators said they believe someone traveling in a dark-colored sedan shot the man.

The victim was reportedly a security guard.

No arrests have been made.
