(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Are you tired of all the gloomy weather? Well, cheer up, the sun will be making a comeback soon.
If it seems like it's been awhile since we've seen sunshine, it's not your imagination. It's been about a week since we've seen an "appreciable" amount, Accu-Weather Meteorologist Dean Devore says.
That's not unusual for this time of year.
"When we have temperatures that aren't either too cold or too warm, the atmosphere kind of creates its own clouds and that's where we've been the last several weeks," he said.
But he adds sunshine is returning to forecast soon.
There will be sunny breaks beginning Sunday afternoon and continuing into Monday.
The sunshine may continue into the week, but be warned: Temps will be chilly.
