The Fort Worth Police Department has arrested a man who posted a video to social media in which he made threats that he was going to go on a shooting spree in Downtown Fort Worth on May 7, the department shared Friday.

The video depicts the man brandishing a shotgun and making threats toward police which quickly began circulating online. This led to the department obtaining a warrant for the man’s arrest, according to a press release it shared on Facebook.

“Multiple units from our department investigated swiftly and obtained an arrest warrant for a person of interest,” police wrote, adding that the suspect was promptly located and placed in custody.

Police have not released the man’s name, but jail records obtained by the Dallas Star-Telegram identified him as 22-year-old Zyshon Murphy of Fort Worth.

Murphy was booked Friday night and charged with a felony count of terroristic threat placing the public or a group in fear, the records show.

In order to “preserve the integrity of the investigation,” no other details are being released at this moment.

The original video was posted to Snapchat and has since been taken down, but others have reposted it. The caption reads, “May 7 3:00PM IS YALL DEATH DAY SO DONT BE IN DOWNTOWN. YALL GOIN HAVE 2 KILL ME CUZ YALL GETTING KILLED FOR SHURE.”

In the video, Murphy can be heard discussing his plans to shoot at random, innocent people.

“I hate all of you,” he said. “I want you all dead and I’m going to make sure that happens this Sunday.”

The news preceded the events of Saturday, May 6, when a gunman opened fire at the Allen Premium Outlets mall, killing nine people and injuring seven before an officer with the Allen Police Department fatally shot him.

On Sunday, the gunman was identified as a 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia, two senior law enforcement officials told NBC News.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
