Illinois has a state-wide goal of getting 1 million electric vehicles, or
EVs, on the road by 2030.
ComEd is committed to supporting that goal, because transportation
electrification provides benefits for everyone.
This year, ComEd launched 90 million dollars in rebates to help
accelerate the equitable adoption of EVs by lessening the financial
burden of making the switch and increasing EV charging accessibility
in Illinois.
Residential customers can apply for rebates up to $3,750 to assist with
the cost of purchasing and installing a Level 2 EV charger for their
homes, and business and public sector customers can receive funding to
reduce the upfront cost of purchasing EVs and make site upgrades
needed to install EV charging.
Over half the rebate funds available, and the largest rebate amounts,
are reserved for low-income customers, and customers located in
equity-eligible communities.
