After spending time with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday, Governor J.B. Pritzker's office issued a statement saying the governor was {quote}: "glad to participate in a productive meeting focused on keeping the Bears in Illinois and protecting taxpayers".
The state of Indiana has passed a bill that would offer the Bears up to $1 Billion in incentives to relocate their stadium project, and the Bears recently said their "sole focus" for a new stadium involves two sites in Hammond.
The Bears still own the land at the former Arlington Racetrack in Arlington Heights which they purchased with plans of building a stadium there.
