1 dead, 2 injured in shooting near Buffalo community center

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Police say one teenager is dead and two others are injured following a triple shooting in Buffalo.

Police report the victims were shot around 10 p.m. Friday near the North Buffalo Community Center.

Police say about 50 people were attending a party at the community center at the time of the shootings.

The three shooting victims were taken to Erie County Medical Center. Police say an 18-year-old man died from his injuries Saturday.

Two 16-year-old boys remain hospitalized, one in critical condition and one in stable condition.

Police are looking for the driver a dark-colored, four-door sedan that was seen leaving the area.

Meanwhile, another shooting took place Saturday morning in Buffalo in the 11am hour in the 200 block of Olympic Avenue.

Buffalo police say a male was struck by gunfire and was transported to ECMC.

Initial reports say the injuries appear non-life threatening in nature.
