NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Wallenda Family is back at it again this weekend.

The daredevil family will perform their latest high wire act over Times Square. Siblings Nik and Lijana Wallenda will walk 25 stories above the concrete between the two skyscrapers at 1 Times Square and 2 Times Square.

"We did have a small research study back in 2012 that showed there was an uptick in tourism during that period," Percy said. "It did have an impact on hotel numbers, dining, and attractions, etc. from the actual walk. When (Erendira) did her stunt, it was more of a media stunt moreso than a visual stunt from the ground. His was both."

Percy said that Erendira's stunt that was broadcast on social media and later coverage was seen by more than 500 million people.

The stunt has a commemoration on Goat Island near Terrapin Point where the wire was connected on the US side.

In an interview with WBEN, Nik Wallenda said Niagara Falls has a special place in his heart.

"I just love that region," he said. "They've been so good to me and so supportive. I love coming back there and I've said from the beginning that I want to do something that's more of a permanent attraction in that region.

Sunday's performance in Times Square will begin at 8 p.m.
