St. Catharines, ON (WBEN) A cannabis store north of the border opened last week, and the owner says it's been a busy one. This as questions continue to be raised over whether recreational marijuana use will be legalized in New York anytime soon.
He hopes one thing does come out of legalization: a chance for minorities to succeed. "Once you commercialize a product like that, the biggest, most powerful, wealthiest people see an economic opportunity and take it from everyone else. We don't want to see that. We want to see the people negatively impacted by this for generation have an opportunity," says Burke.
