NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WBEN) - A woman in her 60's is dead after she was killed by a drunk driver in the City of Niagara Falls on Wednesday night.

Niagara Falls Police did not release the woman's name. She was ejected from her car after she was struck by 32-year-old Stephen J. Wruck. Police said Wruck did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 24th Street and Michigan Avenue and hit the woman's car.

The woman died at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Police said that Wruck was not hurt in the crash. However, he allegedly walked away from the scene and called 911 to falsely report his vehicle stolen. Police arrested him and also learned he had his license suspended.

Wruck was charged with second degree vehicular manslaughter, DWI, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, plus several other vehicle and traffic offenses. He is being held at Niagara Falls City Jail without bail.
