BUFFALO (WBEN - Brendan Keany) - Rigidized Metals Corp. CEO Rick Smith is partnering with Miami-based Generational Development to further transform the Silo City complex into a livable and vibrant community.

There were some rumors suggesting that the development team was looking to create apartments directly in the silos and grain elevators - something Anthony Ceroy says will not happen.

"The intention and plan is not to fill the silos or grain elevators with apartment homes; the plan is untilize the supplemental buildings...for re-development and bring residential units to life," said Ceroy. "We will utilize the silos themselves for...potential commerical activation, potential creative green spaces and otherwise culture-driven public access activation."

There are no renderings made available to the public at this point, but Ceroy says we can expect them fairly soon.Pending approval, the first phase of development is expected to cost about 40 million dollars.
