Oakfield, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Genesee County Sheriff's Office says a 72 year old Oakfield woman was found dead in a pond Monday night.
The Sheriff's office received a call about a missing person about 10:45pm.
Deputies checked out the scene near the woman's home on Maltby Road. While there, they located Patricia Seguin in a pond, just northeast of her home.
Authorities believe Seguin had been searching for her lost dog, before stumbling into the pond and drowning.
The incident remains under investigation.
