BUFFALO, N.Y (WBEN) - A jury is nearing a verdict in the criminal case against Buffalo Police Officer Corey Krug.
Krug, a 20-year veteran of the police force, was charged in a four-count federal indictment because of alleged police brutality stemming from multiple incidents over several years. The most recent incident was in 2014, when a television camera from WKBW showed him hitting a suspect while on Chippewa Street.
Jury deliberations began Friday from the 12-person jury. Tuesday’s deliberations featured read backs from a portion of the trial discussing the police department’s use of force protocol.
A final verdict could come as early as Tuesday afternoon.
