Evans, NY (WBEN) Police say the man whose body was pulled from Woodlawn Beach New Year's Eve afternoon was a man missing for a couple of weeks.
Police say Mark Pelgrin was reported missing December 6th. Family told investigators they had not heard from Pelgrin in several days.
Police say their preliminary investigation led them to believe Pelgrin fell about 80 feet into the 18 Mile Creek near his home. Weather conditions that day deteriorated to the point the search was called off just after sunrise December 6th.
Pelgrin was found around 12:30pm Monday. Police believe the death is accidental.
