Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Two school districts reported an increased police presence Monday.
At McKinley High School (Pictured above), Buffalo Police presence was increased. Police say there was a report of a gun inside the school around 11:30am. Following a K9 sweep, the lockdown was lifted at 1:30pm.
Meanwhile at Frontier High School and Big Tree Elementary, shelter in place orders were put in after police say a threatening email from an unknown source came to the school district's administrative offices.
"Currently, there has been no further evidence uncovered that anyone's safety is at risk. Again, this is a PRECAUTIONARY measure," say Hamburg Police.
