
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The panelists who will review and recommend winners of the “Aim for the Sky: Competition to Re-Imagine the Buffalo Skyway Corridor” will make a stop at Canalside Monday, directly in the shadow of the towering span
The competition challenges individuals or teams representing the nation’s top urban designers, economists, planners, and architects to reimagine the corridor, helping to define a clear vision for the City of Buffalo’s waterfront, inform the direction for investment in placemaking, and deliver economic development opportunities.
In September the expert panelists will select the winning vision, which will be awarded $100,000. A second-place vision will be awarded $50,000 and third-place vision will be awarded $25,000.
Attending the site visit will be: John Maggiore, Senior Advisor to Governor Cuomo, Amanda Mays, Regional Director, Empire State Development(ESD), Paul Tronolone, Vice President for Policy & Planning, ESD, Buffalo Skyway Corridor Competition panelists and other Dignitaries
