Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been named as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 9 performance against the Seattle Seahawks at Bills Stadium in Orchard Park.

This is the second time that Allen has earned the honor of AFC Offensive Player of the Week this season. His first honor came in Week 2 after throwing for 415 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-28 win over the Miami Dolphins in South Florida.

This past week saw Allen nearly put up identical stats in Buffalo's 44-34 win over the Seahawks. The 24-year-old ended up throwing for 415 yards against Seattle, while throwing three touchdowns and also rushing for another.

This is the fourth time that Allen has been named as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week in his three-year career, and he joins Hall of Famers Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas as the only other Bills players to earn AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in the same season.

So far through nine games this season, Allen has thrown for 2,587 yards, while completing 68.9% of his passes, and tossing 19 touchdowns to just five interceptions. He needs just 502 passing yards to match his total passing yards from the 2019 season, while also needing two touchdown passes to surpass his total from last year.

Allen currently ranks near the top of the league in a number of passing categories, including passing yards (third), completion percentage (sixth) and touchdowns (tied for fifth). His 241 rushing yards on the season also ranks him sixth among quarterbacks in the league.

The Bills will travel to Arizona this Sunday to face the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. EST with John Murphy, Steve Tasker and Sal Capaccio on the call.
