Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - A new video featuring Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blaming Democrats for the government shutdown and long TSA lines will not be shown at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport or the Niagara Falls International Airport.

At least five major airports have decided not to air Noem's message because it is political in nature.

"Democrats in Congress refuse to fund the federal government, and because of this, many of our operations are impacted, and most of our TSA employees are working without pay,” Noem says in the video.

The NFTA, which operates both the Buffalo and Niagara Falls airports, confirmed to WBEN that they would not be showing the video.

“The NFTA’s long standing policy and codified regulations pertaining to public service advertising prohibit politically partisan messaging in its facilities," an  NFTA spokesperson said to WBEN in a statement. "Therefore, we are not airing this video on airport-controlled screens.”
