
Mental health organization Compeer Buffalo and Chiavetta's will team up for a fundraiser today from noon to 6pm in Compeer's parking lot at 1179 Kenmore Avenue. Individuals can pick up a Chiavetta's chicken meal via drive-thru with $1 from each meal going directly to Compeer.
New York State Industries for the Disabled will hold a news conference this morning at 11 at the Broadway Market in Buffalo which will highlight the 14,000 jobs generated by non-profit services for the disabled in Buffalo. The conference will be held in conjunction with The Arc Erie County. The information that will be shared is from a report by the Rockefeller Institute on the economic impacts of the Preferred Source Program.
Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union will spend $3 million dollars on a new branch and a neighboring office building, with both located in Lockport, pending approval from Niagara County and the state. The new branch will also have a unique homage to Lockport, with each teller station being modeled after the Erie Canal locks seen in the city.
