
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Department of Psychology at UB's Jacobs School of Medicine, Meridian Psychology, Genesee Valley Psycology and OCD New York are teaming up for the Buffalo One Million Steps for OCD Walk Saturday from 9 to noon at Stigmeier Park in Cheektowaga. The goal of the walk is to raise awareness for OCD and other related illnesses like body dysmorphic disorder and hoarding disorder. Data shows 1 in 100 adults and 1 in 200 children live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Also happening tomorrow is the Kids Escaping Drugs Rise For Recovery Walk at Canalside. The 1.8 mile walk begins at 10:15 and includes a post-walk party and lunch.
The Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence kicks off its 30th annual Fall Festival this weekend with free admission for active military, veterans, police and fire personnel. The farm will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-7pm through October 26th and will also be open on Columbus Day. The Great Pumpkin Farm is located at 11199 Main Street in Clarence.
