Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The City of Lackawanna has dropped plans for a $35 million mixed-use building at 539 Ridge Road. Douglas Jemal had been chosen as the project's developer. Jemal told Buffalo Business First that high construction costs, interest rates and a lack of bank financing led to the project being dropped.
Tops' annual Monopoly promotion returns this Sunday the 23rd, and this time it's going all digital. Instead of getting a ticket, rewards will be tracked on your Bonus Card. The promotion runs through May 24th.
The Angola service area along the I-90 has reopened with a number of upgrades. Food options include Shake Shack, Chick-fil-A, and Panda Express, with an Auntie Anne's and Cinnabon opening soon. There's also three Starbucks locations with one inside the rest stop and two with drive-thrus heading east and west on the thruway.
Buffalo's Northland Workforce Training Center is launching its new Automotive Technician Program this morning with help from SUNY Erie and West Herr. The program is designed to lessen the skill gap for locally trained workers in the auto industry.
