Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - Amherst Central High School is closed Monday after an HVAC unit caught fire.
According to an Amherst Schools spokesperson, the fire started just as buses were arriving at the school. Students were then sent to Amherst Middle School where they waited in the auditorium until being dismissed.
Amherst schools tell WBEN that no students were in danger during the course of the fire.
Amherst Central Fire Alarm says the fire was minor and firefighters were able to put it out.
