Another shakeup at Buffalo City Hall

The Administration and Finance Commissioner has resigned

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Another member of the mayor's team in Buffalo is stepping down. Administration and Finance Commissioner Delano D. Dowell, Sr. says he will leave office later this month.

Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon issued the following statement:

"Today, Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, I accepted the resignation of Administration and Finance Commissioner Delano D. Dowell, Sr. effective Monday, Dec. 16, 2024. I want to thank Delano for his dedicated service to our city and the leadership he has provided during his tenure."

In the interim, Raymour Nosworthy, Director of Administration & Finance, will serve in the role of Acting Commissioner.

"I want to wish Delano all the best in his future endeavors," Scanlon added.

Last month, Scanlon announced Howard Grynspan was relieved of his duties as Director of Real Estate, while accepting Brendan Mehaffy's resignation as Executive Director of the Office of Strategic Planning.
