Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass' 61-yard field goal to beat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday has caused a surge of fans to donate in his honor to Ten Lives Club.

Over $2,000 has already been donated the organization since Sunday's football game.

"There's a lot of posts on social media, encouraging everyone to donate $61 to Ten Lives Club," stated Ten Lives Club Spokesperson Kim LaRussa.

LaRussa says Bass has been working with them for a few years now, and is happy to see fans rally behind him.

"It's just really nice because this happened close to a year ago where 10 lives club received donations when he was receiving a lot of criticism and bullying online. For this to happen when he's kind of got a redemption story is really, really cool. We're just so proud of him, so happy for him, and just to see his face light up when he was talking to his team in the locker room, and how happy he is, and he deserved this moment, and we could not be prouder of him," stated LaRussa in an interview with WBEN.

LaRussa says they're incredibly thankful for "Bills Mafia" and the donations that they keep sending.

"The Bills fans that came up with this. They want to give back to charities in honor of the players. We are just grateful that. Anything that comes in is a blessing, and we're so grateful to the Bills fans for doing this."

Donations can be made online through their website, or mailed to Ten Lives Club P.O. BOX 253, North Boston, N.Y. 14110
