Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo man has been arrested after being found in possession of several weapons after a warrant execution for child pornography.
New York State Police arrested Brian J. Schueler, 49 of Buffalo on several counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful purchase of body armor, and substance possession.
State Police say Troop A Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) executed a Child Pornography search warrant on Benzinger Street in Buffalo Wednesday. Troopers say Schueler was the target of the warrant. They add Schueler was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators say Schueler was found to possess firearms with a bulletproof vest and suspected narcotics. An amended warrant was obtained, and a search was conducted, where troopers say they seized 14 computer related items, 4 assault rifles, 2 handguns, 9 high-capacity magazines, a bulletproof vest and approximately 1 gram of cocaine.
Schueler was transported to the city of Buffalo Lockup for centralized arraignment.
NYSP Computer Crimes Unit, Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, and Special Investigations Unit assisted in this arrest.
