Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo Public Schools will go to remote learning on Thursday, as a winter storm warning is expected to dump several more inches of snow on the region.

"Due to the forecasted winter storm warning that is projecting accumulating snowfall throughout the day tomorrow and into the afternoon commute, the Buffalo Public Schools will be closed to in person instruction tomorrow, February 3, 2022, inclusive of all after school activities," says the district in a statement Wednesday.

Student transportation is also canceled Thursday. School based staff are directed to work from home and provide remote instruction to students.

All Central Office staff are directed to report to work at their regular work locations.  "Building engineers shall ensure that these locations are open for staff reporting to work," concludes the district statement.
