West Seneca Police and Officer Paul Daley was called to assist in removing the feline from underneath the person's vehicle, as was documented by their social media team. The cat had allegedly come from Cheektowaga and had "inexplicably" made its way to West Seneca.

West Seneca Police's Twitter account humorously documented the ordeal as it unfolded, as Officer Daley attempted to free the cat from the engine bay, but to no avail.

Finally, nearly 45 minutes after the rescue mission started, "Scruffles", as West Seneca Police named him, was freed from the vehicle and "taken into custody."

"Scruffles" is heading back to Cheektowaga to hopefully be re-united with his family. He appeared unharmed throughout the ordeal.
