Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Calling all book, vinyl, CD and audiobook collectors!
Buffalo and Erie County's Central Library located at Lafayette Square have announced the return of their used book sale - going on now and through Saturday.
"We haven't done this since 2021," said Library spokeswoman Joy Testa Cinquino. "We started out actually yesterday with about 12,000 items. We have books, magazines, vinyl, CDs, audiobooks, old books, new books, children's books, teen books, fiction, nonfiction, you name it, we've got it. If you bring your own bag, or use one of our bags, you can fill up that bag with as much in it as you want for $1 or individual items are just 25 cents."
The books have been either donated to the library or have been in the library catalog.
They started on Thursday with over 12,000 items available for purchase, they are continuing this Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13. The operating hours are from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. for both days and admission is free.
"All of the proceeds go back into purchasing more materials for the 37 Buffalo and Erie County Public Libraries," added Cinquino.
