Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo couple has been charged with matching counts of second degree manslaughter for their alleged role in the death of their infant daughter on July 7, 2023.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office says police and paramedics went to the couple's apartment on William Street in Cheektowaga and found the couple's 2-and-a-half-month-old daughter unresponsive. The child was taken to Oishei Children's Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Luis Gonzalez Jr., 25, of Buffalo and Kitrina Udrea, 22, of Buffalo, each face 5-to-15 years in prison, if convicted.
Gonzalez Jr. and Udrea are currently being held with bail set at $250,000. They'll be back in court July 17.
