Buffalo, NY (WBEN) An Erie County Sheriff's Deputy has been suspended after the sheriff's office says he was involved in an accident in an office vehicle.
The East Aurora Police Department contacted the Sheriff’s Office about a single-vehicle crash along Jewett Holmwood Road in the Town of Aurora Friday evening. Investigators say their probe led to the arrest of Aaron Naegely for misdemeanor counts of DWI and operating a vehicle with a BAC of .08%.
The Sheriff's Office ordered a separate Professional Standards Division investigation into the incident, which is continuing. Naegely has been suspended without pay since Saturday.
