Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Many Americans will be listening in or watching Thursday night's presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. One presidential-themed pub owner is hoping for a full house.

Mike Driscoll's Founding Father's Pub is a small eatery and bar on Edward off Delaware in Downtown Buffalo. He says 50 would be a big crowd, and 75 would pack the place. He's hoping for the crowd to get into Thursday night's debate.

"I'm just hoping that people get excited about it and cheer and clap and boo," said Driscoll in an interview with WBEN.

While often times in today's political environment, things can get heated when it comes to the hot button topic. However, Driscoll says there hasn't been a violent incident.

"We haven't had any throwing of things or yelling or fist fights or anything like that. It's pretty orderly," Driscoll said.

So who tends to fill the bar more, Democrats or Republicans?

"Buffalo has more Democrats (in the city). However, the Republicans are mostly in the suburbs. We get a lot of suburban people, even though we're a downtown pub. We get a nice mixture of people in here," Driscoll said.

Driscoll adds a lot of people sit and don't react.

"Maybe they don't know at this point," he said, adding people might make up their minds after the debate.

Thursday's debate coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET, with the CNN Presidential Debate simulcast starting at 9 p.m. ET.
