AMHERST, N.Y. (WBEN).......Erie County continues to move towards a new record for homes selling for more than $1 million.
In the latest deal - the 102th this year - puts the county within three $1 million-plus home sales of tying last year's record of 105 private residences topping the $1 million sales mark.
The latest deal:
* A five-bedroom, 5,200-square-foot house at 160 Rollingwood Street in Amherst's Woodstream Farms subdivision n sold for $1,465,260.
The deal is the 16th home in Amherst, this year, that sold for more than $1 million.
Erie County is on pace to see more than 110 homes - this year - sell for more than $1 million.
Since 2024, 325 homes in Erie County have sold for more than $1 million.
The sale of homes going for north of $1 million is considered a key economic signpost within the region's residential real estate industry.
