Highway worker struck in Clarence

Erie County Sheriff's Office is searching for the driver of an black GMC SUV involved in a hit and run of a highway worker in Clarence Tuesday afternoon

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Erie County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help following a hit and run that injured an Erie County highway worker.

The incident occurred at about 2:30pm Tuesday at Salt and County Roads.

The victim, an Erie County Public Works employee, was in the roadway
doing repair work when a GM SUV passed a road closure sign, striking
the worker.

The vehicle did not stop and continued to proceed East along County road.

The worker sustained minor injuries.

The driver described as an older white male with gray hair and facial hair.
He was driving a Black Chevy GMC SUV.
